The Silent Wood (Part II)

Leven's Journal

November 27
We came riding into the small Hamlet of Remard on the back of a wagon being pulled by Erun in horse form. As soon as we approached I could sense that evil was about! We were immediately swarmed by begging peasants. I gave what I could (unlike some of the other members of our party) as we made our way to the most important building in the town. There we met with the elder of the town. He revealed the tale of the wicked forces which threatened to destroy the town. He told of a ghostly horseman, and strage elves who attack without provokation. At that moment I swore to end the tyrranny of evil and crush any forces that might oppose Remard - a bastion of goodness in the midst of a great sea of villany.

Alas Dannus, the elder, was never to know this oath. At that moment he was struck by vicious elvish arrows, and we were beset by three fierce white wolves - immense in size - clearly the spawn of evil! The wolves quickly brought Revegelance to the ground, but I fought fiercely and prevailed. After the battle we decided to stay the night in the elder's home.

There we met a man called Endle. He is a former adventurer, and he has agreed to send his companion Tully with us.

November 28
After a night of recuperation we set out for the healing springs in the southern woods. They must indeed be a place of great holiness and goodness. We were attacked while sheltering there, but Erune put all of our assailants to sleep. They were not willing to disclose their evil ways (as is always the way) but they did give us five days to prove the townsfolk aren't to blame for the evil silence in these woods. Dolensiwe was clearly upset by the behavior of the elves. I have been trying to tell her that they aren't perfect, but she never listens. ~Sigh~ The things I must endure.

November 30
We met a strange woman in odd temple in the forest. She was clearly overcome by evil forces, and had a magic stick in her possession. Clearly it has destroyed her mind. After destroying the fould stick of evil we set out East towards the Great Barrow. Apparently this is where the foul spectre of the horseman was last seen alive.

I thought the other adventurer guy's name was Endle and not Dyson... that Leven really can't keep his facts straight.

What are you talking about? I see Endle.... (now). :P Yeah, like I said this is the first time I've used a published adventure - and Endle's name was Dyson in the published adventure. I can't recall why I changed it. Probably because it didn't sound right (for some reason). Meh. Who knows.
